"Mount-cler" is a personal, self-initiated project created to explore my footwear design skills in a context outside of professional briefs.
I imagined this project as if I were designing for Moncler, a brand known for its fusion of performance, luxury, and bold fashion statements.

Mount-cler
This project allowed me to push myself creatively by designing two unisex shoe collections — hiking boots and sneakers — each reflecting Moncler's DNA while introducing my own perspective on style, functionality, and brand storytelling.
"Mount-cler" is a fictional capsule inspired by Moncler’s mountain heritage and its evolution into a luxury fashion powerhouse.
The collection name itself is a play on (Mountain + Moncler), anchoring the project in both elevation and identity.
The collection imagines footwear for a new kind of adventurer — urban, style-conscious, and technically equipped.
02 . The Solution
01 . Hiking Boots
As part of my personal project "Mount-cler", this first collection focuses on gender-inclusive hiking boots, reimagined for Moncler through a lens of luxury performance, heritage, and sculptural detail.
The designs are meant to bridge function and fashion, offering footwear that feels at home both in alpine environments and on city streets — true to Moncler's identity as a brand born in the mountains and evolved into a global fashion icon.
This collection honors the raw beauty of mountainous landscapes, translating their textures, silhouettes, and symbolism into modern footwear forms. Each boot is constructed with refined structure, and precise detailing, while remaining grounded in rugged outdoor functionality.
Key Design Elements :
Moncler-Branded Metallic Hardware :
- Custom metallic eyelets and hooks inspired by Moncler’s iconic logo, designed as sculptural accents.
- These functional elements double as subtle brand signatures, utilitarian and elegant.
Signature Sole with Mountain Motif :
- The side of the sole features an embossed chain of mountains, directly referencing the iconic Evian water bottle design — subtle, poetic, and tactile.
- This mountain line becomes a unifying graphic element across all pairs, reinforcing the collection’s altitude-inspired concept.
Outsole Design :
- The outsole showcases a more abstract interpretation of the mountain range — a continuous line etched into the rubber.
- The outsole texture resembles irregular shards of broken ice, echoing the unpredictable, natural terrain of glaciers.
- This jagged, uneven tread pattern is not just symbolic — it’s also functional for grip and movement.
Color Palette :
- Tone-on-tone color combinations unify the upper and outsole, creating a clean, sculptural silhouette.
- All versions introduce neon accents on the outsole — to create contrast without overwhelming the aesthetic.
02 . The Solution
01 . Sneakers
The second part of the "Mount-cler" personal project explores a low-rise sneaker collection designed for both genders, imagined as a natural extension of Moncler’s lifestyle and performance DNA. These sneakers reinterpret the rugged elegance of the hiking boots into a more urban, streamlined silhouette — versatile enough for everyday wear, but still deeply rooted in the brand’s mountain heritage.
This sneaker collection offers a more refined and accessible take on the mountain aesthetic, without losing the symbolic elements introduced in the hiking boots. Every detail — from material finish to sole texture — was designed to reflect harmony between terrain and technology, with a focus on balance, and comfort.
Mountain Motif Sole :
- Like the hiking boots, these sneakers feature the signature chain of mountains subtly embossed on the side of the sole.
- This motif creates a visual link between both collections and reinforces the conceptual foundation of the "Mount-cler" project.
Flat Rubber Outsole with Triple Texture :
- The outsole introduces a more minimalist, flat profile but remains visually rich through three distinct rubber textures.
- The abstract mountain line continues on the bottom of the sole with its neon color.
Integrated Upper-Sole Design :
- The upper design mirrors and complements the sole, with layered materials and lines that feel directly connected to the shape and flow of the outsole.
- Panels and overlays are carefully placed to frame the foot’s movement.
Subtle Moncler Branding :
- The Moncler logo is integrated as a tonal deboss, minimal patch, ensuring brand identity remains elegant and embedded rather than loud.
