"Iconic" is a self-initiated project I developed outside of a professional context to express my vision, creativity, and technical ability as an accessories designer.

This project was conceived as a conceptual collaboration with Repetto, a brand known for its elegant and timeless approach to footwear and ballet-inspired designs.
The goal of "Iconic" was to imagine two unique shoe collections that embody both the classic DNA of Repetto and my own design language.
I wanted to show what I could contribute to a heritage brand if given the opportunity — how I could both respect its identity and push it forward with fresh, personal ideas.
I created two distinct lines within "Iconic" :
– Iconic – A refined reinterpretation of Repetto’s most iconic models, infused with new materials, unexpected color palettes, and contemporary finishes.
– Ergonomic – A bold and expressive capsule inspired by the grace and discipline of ballet, but imagined through a futuristic and fashion-forward lens—stretching the boundaries of form and function.
02 . The Solution
01 . Icone
"Icone" is a tribute to the timeless ballerina flat, redesigned to highlight both Repetto’s legacy and my own design sensibility. The name "Icone" (French for "icon") reflects the intent : to elevate this everyday classic into a statement of identity and design.
The collection explores the ballerina as a symbol — refined, elegant, and quietly powerful — while introducing graphic and tactile elements that reframe its visual language.
01 : "Icone Stitch"
A minimalist ballerina flat featuring a leather cut-out appliqué spelling the word "icone".
The word is split across the pair: "ico" on the left, "one" on the right. When placed together, the shoes form the word in full, symbolizing unity and individuality.
The cut-outs are stitched decoratively onto the upper, creating texture and dimension.
02 : "Icone Debossed"
A sleeker interpretation of the same concept, this version features the word "icone" debossed directly into the leather for a subtler, embossed-in-identity effect.
It balances minimalism with a tactile storytelling element, ideal for those who favor understated details.
The collection features a dual-tone direction :
Classics : timeless shades like black and white for elegance and versatility.
Modern Icons : vivid accent colors including fuchsia, electric blue, orange, and candy pink, adding a vibrant, playful twist to a traditionally demure silhouette.
02 . The Solution
02 . Ergonomic
The second chapter of the "Iconic" project is titled "Ergonomic" — a bold and expressive sandal collection inspired by the grace, strength, and control of ballet, translated through a futuristic and fashion-forward design language.
While the "Icone" ballerinas honor tradition, "Ergonomic" pushes the boundaries of form and function. This capsule imagines what footwear could look like if it were designed for the modern-day danseur or muse : confident, experimental, and unapologetically sculptural.
Key Design Features :
Circle Leather Cut-Out : A signature design element across the collection — a round leather cut-out featuring the "R" from Repetto’s typography, subtly stamped, acting as a modern brand mark.
Playful Geometric Forms : Unusual leather shapes are placed throughout the upper — fun, unexpected, and architectural, they evoke a sense of rhythm and kinetic energy.
Anatomical Insole Cut-Outs : The front-top of the insole follows the natural shape of the foot, creating a dynamic visual curve that blends comfort with sculptural beauty.
The collection is designed with a mix of neutrals colors, sleek tones, like graphite, and nude ground.
